There is very little light to be found in the horrible story of last Saturday's shootings in Arizona, but the father of the youngest victim Christina Taylor Green has announced at least some good news: his daughter's organs helped save a little girl in Boston.
Taylor Green, at nine years old, was the youngest victim of the shooting– a young girl born on September 11, 2001 with an appetite for public service too big for her age that led her to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' "Congress on your Corner" event. Her father, John Green, told CNN Friday that her organs had now been used to save the life of a girl in Boston, Massachusetts, and that, yes, he would love to meet her, "and I'd give her a big hug."
